"Jeg liker fiskeboller"

Fish market.
Kristiansand.

Sarah had more lovely Norwegian friends to visit than I knew.

It was sad to leave our wonderful Jo and Ketil.
However, we were thrilled to visit Tullen and Johan.

Plus, we kicked off with a feast.

There are so many places that feel like home, all over the world.

Further adventures in Høvåg.

Our Høvåg adventures continued.

We had the pleasure of meeting Jo's daughter Cecilie, before she returned to Oslo.

Another dinner party? Of course!

Coffee. Cake. Cigars.
Epitome of vacationing.

Cecilie has the most beautiful voice.

We stayed up late and played and giggling and forgot most of the lyrics.
Our Norwegians friends are amazingly talented.

See?

So. much. fun.

Ketil took us for a tour of Høvåg church and graveyard.

We enjoyed it, fully.

Swimming in the fjord.

How can you resist?

Undoubtably, we had many long, golden hour walks in the woods.

Trolls.

Honestly, Sarah, our lives aren't really as interesting as everyone seems to think.
We just portray them hilariously, with too many words.

One rainy day, Jo and Ketil took us out on a long drive.

They introduced us to Lillesand, Grimstad, Arendal, and Risør.

We were delighted, as usual.

Cracking jokes. Good conversations. Rest.

Coziness abounds.

To be continued.

Norway, you enchant us.

After Oslo, Sarah and I went South to stay with her lovely friends in Høvåg.
Jo and Ketil are hilarious musicians and the most generous of hosts.

They reside in the coziest of cozy houses.
We felt like Anne of Green Gables.

''Your house is older than my country!''

Fish soup. Evening meal. Giant down bed.

J&K are caretakers for the thousand year old church and graveyard, right across the yard.

"Does it bother you to live next to a graveyard?"
"Oh, no. They are such quiet neighbors you know. And I'm the boss. So they behave."

Sleeping late. Lilac breeze in the window. Hour long breakfasts.

Jo and Ketil taught Sarah one Norwegian phrase, last time she was there.

"Jeg liker fiskeboller"

I like fishballs.

"There is some kind of messed up naivety, in our heads,
that make us think that the world is delicious."
-Sarah

Graveyard exploration. Collecting names. Long walks. Chased by swans.

Kristiansand.

I may have changed my clothes, in a pew, in this cathedral.

Scandalous.

Grilling. Outdoor dinner party. Cigars. Wine. Riotous storytelling. Giggling.

Rhubarb pie. Coffee. Cigars. Mosquito invasion.

Piano. Bass. Saxophone. Fumbled lyrics. Delicious harmonies.

Singing in the living room. All night long.

"That makes me smile all kinds of kinds." -Sars

Norway, you're enchanting.
